UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT. OPEN THE REAL TOOL.
INDEX:80 connects Cardano concepts to the projects that actually implement them. Start with a short explanation, then follow the reviewed links into wallets, DeFi, governance, explorers and developer tools.
Four places to begin, in plain terms — then use the rest of this page and the directory to find real, current tools.

Cardano is a proof-of-stake blockchain. ADA is its native currency: it pays transaction fees, participates in staking and governance, and is the base asset used across much of the ecosystem.
START HEREA wallet manages the keys that authorise transactions; your ADA and native assets remain recorded on-chain. The important distinction is who controls the signing keys and how safely recovery credentials are stored.
LIVE PROJECT LINKSCardano holders can delegate stake to a stake pool while keeping custody of their ADA. Delegation helps determine block-producing stake and can earn protocol rewards; it is not the same as transferring coins to the pool operator.
ON-CHAIN CONCEPTTokens and NFTs can exist directly on Cardano's ledger. A policy ID identifies the minting policy; combined with the asset name it lets users distinguish the intended asset from lookalikes with the same ticker or display name.
VERIFY IDENTIFIERSCardano DeFi includes decentralised exchanges, aggregators, lending and other financial protocols. The eUTXO model changes how transactions and liquidity interactions are constructed, but users still need to verify the protocol and asset they are interacting with.
ACTIVE TOOLSCardano's on-chain governance allows governance actions to be proposed and voted on. ADA holders can delegate voting power to a DRep or participate through the governance mechanisms available to them.
PARTICIPATIONDevelopers can work at several layers: smart contracts, transaction construction, APIs, indexers and application frameworks. Aiken is a smart-contract language, while tools such as MeshJS and Blockfrost support application development and data access.
DEVELOPER PATHExtended UTXO is Cardano's transaction model for programmable state. Hydra explores high-throughput off-chain execution for specific use cases, while Mithril uses stake-based multi-signatures to create compact, verifiable certificates of Cardano state.
PROTOCOL CONCEPTSThese are orientation notes, not investment advice or a substitute for primary documentation. When a concept turns into an action — choosing a wallet, verifying an asset, using a protocol or voting — follow the linked INDEX:80 record and then the project's genuine official destination.
Deeper standalone guides will be added where they genuinely improve understanding. INDEX:80 will avoid publishing dozens of thin SEO pages simply to fill the site.
